Venue and Accommodation

The upcoming event, WAILS, is scheduled to take place at the Salerno City Hall, which is situated in the bustling heart of the city.

If you are traveling to Salerno, the closest airports are Naples (approximately 60km away) and Rome (approximately 280km away). Rome has two airports: Roma-Fiumicino International Airport "Leonardo Da Vinci" (code FCO) and Roma-Ciampino International Airport "G.B. Pastine" (code CIA). Meanwhile, Naples only has one airport: Naples International Airport (code NAP).
Here are the cheapest options for getting from each airport to Salerno:

From Naples (Naples International Airport - NAP)

Via Train:
1. Take the "Alibus" bus from Naples Airport to the "Napoli Centrale" train station.
2. From Central Station, choose from high-speed trains (such as Freccia Rossa, Freccia Argento, or Italo) or regional trains (such as Intercity) to reach "Salerno" central station. Depending on the train you choose, costs range from €5 to €40. At the following link, you can find the best solution for you.

Via Bus:
A dedicated bus route (Line 119), operated by FS Busitalia Campania, connects the International Airport of Naples "Capodichino" to the Salerno city centre in approximately one hour and a half. The bus line is only active on weekdays and performs three runs per day in both directions. More details on the timetables and stops are available on the official website (in Italian) or on Moovit. Note that Line 119 departs from inside the Terminal, in the area reserved for Tourist Buses/Bus Services (after the ALIBUS parking, on the right side), and not from the Terminal exit. Tickets cost 5,50 € and can be purchased using the UnicoCampania App (Play Store, App Store), or directly on board, at an additional cost.

From Rome (Rome-Fiumicino International Airport - FCO)

1. Use the "Leonardo Express" to get from "Aeroporto Fiumicino" to the "Roma Termini" train station in only 32 minutes. The cost is 14€. At the following link, you can find the best solution for you.
2. From the central station, you can take high-speed trains (such as Freccia Rossa or Italo) or regional trains (such as Intercity) to the "Salerno" central station. Depending on the train you choose, costs range from 5€ to 40€. At the following link, you can find the best solution for you.

From Rome (Rome-Ciampino International Airport - CIA)

1. Use the "SIT Bus Shuttle" service from Roma-Ciampino Airport to the "Roma Termini" central station for 6€. You can check schedules and purchase tickets at this link, you can find the best solution for you.
